19th Nov, 2006
Fellow Bredon villagers, many of you are aware that
Bloor Homes have had plans to develop the Stanway Screens site and The Dell with 38 homes and a B1 office.
They have now submitted an appeal to overcome Wychavon Council decision to reject it.
If approved the resultant increase in traffic (survey says a factor x 2.5 vechicles) will impact on the safety on the Main road and The Dell, this will cause many problems for the school crossing and the residents of The Bredon Lodge and The Dell.
Bloor Homes and Stanway Screens have all ready cut trees down at the rear of The Dell thus removing one reason for rejection.
Please help show support against this appeal to the inspector by a show of heads at the meeting.
Don't let Bloor Homes put a blur on Bredon Village There will be an appeal meeting held at the village hall from 10.00 am
for 3days on 28-30 November
Thank you for you support

12th Nov - New Arrivals In Tewkesbury!
October proved to be a very, busy month for one Tewkesbury vet...in more ways than one! Not content with the happy arrival of a new baby in the family, Brad Cooper has also embarked upon a fresh, new business venture at the same time...taking over the reins of Folly Gardens Veterinary Clinic in Barton Road, Tewkesbury from retiring vet Simon Harvey.
Brad Cooper, 31, has forged close links with Tewkesbury over the past 9 years. "It has always been my ambition to open a veterinary practice in Tewkesbury. I have lived and worked in the town and played rugby for Tewkesbury in the past and really like the people here. Now I live in Kemerton and enjoy the sense of community the people in this area foster. When Mr Harvey told me of his wish to retire it seemed like the ideal business opportunity."
Brad has had experience of working in two other practices within the town as well as working in Churchdown. For the past 7 years Brad has worked at the Dragon Veterinary Centre in Cheltenham. "I feel working and living in this community has given me a strong sense of what pet owners in Tewkesbury want...quality veterinary care at affordable prices."
Brad's second son, Barney, was born in mid-October...only two week's later Brad arrived at Folly Garden Veterinary Clinic! "It has certainly been a busy few weeks...it is a very exciting time for me - both personally and professionally. I think I have the better deal at the moment...I get to meet my new clients and their pets whilst my wife gets to change the nappies! I'm not sure how long she will put up with this arrangement!"
